Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna visited his ancestral village, Tummanpet, after their grand wedding and made a heartfelt announcement. The actor pledged scholarships for government school students through the Deverakonda Charitable Trust.
The couple received a warm welcome from villagers and fans in Tummanpet village, located in Balmoor mandal of Nagarkurnool district. After performing the sacred Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham with family members, Vijay Deverakonda expressed his deep bond with the village where his family owns a house and land.
Vijay Deverakonda announced that scholarships would be awarded annually to meritorious ninth and tenth-class students from 44 government schools in the Achampet division. "I am extremely happy to celebrate my wedding after building a house in my own village. This place means a lot to me. From now on, I will visit frequently," he said.
Vijay Deverakonda's younger brother Anand Deverakonda's wedding will be celebrated in the same village with equal grandeur. Nagarkurnool District Collector Badawat Santosh congratulated the couple and appreciated the generous initiative for students' futures. Vijay Deverakonda thanked everyone who showered love and blessings on his wedding, promising regular visits to his native village going forward.
