Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahaayate, directed by Ankit Sakhiya, made with Rs 50 lakhs budget is defying odds and rewriting Gujarati cinema history with a staggering 20,000% profit and over Rs 100 crore global box office collection. This modest film, released on October 10, 2025, with just three screens, has become a massive crowd-puller, even competing with Bollywood releases during Diwali.

The story, set in Junagadh, revolves around a rickshaw driver trapped in a farmhouse who sees visions of Krishna, leading him to self-discovery. Shot on a Rs 50 lakh budget, Laalo is the first Gujarati film to cross Rs 100 crore globally and release in Poland. Even in its ninth week, it draws strong audiences, fueled by word of mouth.
