Karthi Vaa Vaathiyaar considering new date. Karthi is known for interesting and impressive entertainers and all eyes are on his upcoming project Vaa Vaathiyaar. The film is slated for a grand release on 5 December 2025 but now inside talk is the makers are planning to look for a new date because Balakrishna's Akhanda 2 is releasing on the same day.

Inside talk is though the film's shooting has been going on for two years, still patchwork is pending and they are working hard to complete it quickly. Since Karthi's previous films failed at the box office, no one is showing interest to acquire the digital rights of the film and this is delaying the film's release.

Krithi Shetty is the female lead while Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, Anandaraj, Shilpa Manjunath, Karunakaran, GM Sundar, Vadivukarasi, and Madhur Mittal, among others are playing important roles. The film is directed by Nalan Kumaraswamy.

Speaking about the film, Nalan Kumaraswamy said "I wanted to make a proper action masala film, like the ones we used to get in the 80s and 90s. The story revolves around an MGR fan who believes his grandson shares a special connection with MGR. As time passes, the boy grows up to become Ramu (Karthi), a fun-loving, easygoing police officer. He forms a close friendship, but certain unexpected events put his grandfather’s life in danger. The film is about how Ramu transforms after that turning point.”
