Director Hanu Raghavapudi announced on Prabhas’ 46th birthday that  Fauzi will be a duology, with the first film followed by a prequel that explores a different dimension of the story. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the project marks the first collaboration between Prabhas, Hanu, and the studio, and it positions itself as the company’s most ambitious venture to date. Set against India’s colonial era, the film remains a forgotten historical episode, presenting a brave soldier’s tale that blends patriotism with grand drama.

The narrative follows a lone soldier battling within the Azad Hind Force, offering a fictionalized yet emotionally resonant retelling of a bygone era. Hanu emphasized that the second installment will dive deeper into the colonial past, uncovering stories that could have been fairy tales, and will incorporate personal experiences that inspired the script. With the tagline “The bravest tale of a soldier,” the series promises a union of generations, linking Prabhas with the makers of Pushpa in a sweeping, generational saga.
