Betting Apps case has been tightening like a noose to all the celebrities. SIT already questioned many Tollywood celebrities for promoting illegal betting apps and now Rana appeared infront of SIT in Hyderabad.
SIT grilled Rana regarding the promotions of the betting apps and also questioned the sources of his income and the functioning of the betting apps. After the questioning, Rana addressing the scribes, said "We are going to use the right ways to communicate the right message about gaming and gaming apps. The legalities will be completed later. But I am here to do whatever is needed to help spread the message,"
It is known that last year, Telangana police filed FIR against 25 celebrities that include Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, Manchu Lakshmi and others, for allegedly promoting illegal betting and gambling applications. The cops acted on the complaint filed by PM Phanindra Sarma, a businessman who alleged that due to the promotions of the celebrities, several youth with whom he interacted invested money and suffered huge losses.
The FIR included the names of Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, Manchu Lakshmi, Praneetha, Nidhhi Agerwal, Ananya Nagella, Siri Hanumanthu, Sreemukhi, Varshini Sounderajan, among several others.
