Jailer 2 Overseas Advance Sales Cross $1 Million
Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has reportedly crossed the $1 million mark in overseas advance bookings ahead of its October 15 theatrical release. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial is showing encouraging pre release movement, with North America, the UK and other international markets steadily adding shows as the release date approaches.
The latest numbers are particularly significant because overseas bookings are still expanding. Trade tracking indicates strong demand in the US, while the UK and Gulf markets are also contributing. With more locations and premiere shows expected to open, Jailer 2 still has considerable scope to increase its advance sales before release.
Jailer 2 has not generated unanimous excitement around its promotional material, but Rajinikanth’s popularity continues to drive ticket sales. The sequel brings back Muthuvel Pandian, with Nelson returning as director and Anirudh Ravichander handling the music. The cast also includes Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, SJ Suryah and Vidya Balan.
The bigger question is whether Jailer 2 can challenge the overseas benchmarks set by recent Rajinikanth films. Coolie remains a major reference point, while Jailer itself delivered an exceptional international run. With bookings gathering pace and the Dussehra release nearing, the final overseas advance figure will be closely watched by trade circles.
