Dulqer Salmaan's Kaantha directed by Selvamani Selvaraj which hit the screens last week got mixed reviews. While Dulqer Salmaan's performance is winning the accolades of all, the screenplay and narration faced criticism.
In the meantime, here are the day 1 collections of Kaantha. The makers announced that the film got Rs 10.5crs on the first day. Making the announcement, they wrote, “A SENSATIONAL START. Kaantha sparks electrifying collections on DAY 1.”
Kaantha collected ₹4.30 crore net in India on its opening day, with the rest coming from abroad. The film starred Samuthirakhani, Bhagyasri Borse in important roles while Rana played a key role.
Rana Daggubati, Dulquer Salmaan, Prashanth Potluri, and Jom Varghese are producing the film under the banners of Spirit Media Pvt. Ltd. and Wayfarer Films Pvt. Ltd.
The film has the 1950s backdrop for which music is tuned by Janu Chanther and cinematography is taken care of by Sanchez Lopez.
