Police swing into action after bomb threat to Rajini and Dhanush. Police swung into action and conducted searches at Rajinikanth and Dhanush's houses after an e-mail was sent to the Tamil Nadu Director-General of Police (DGP) office alleging explosives had been planted at their residences.

The email also mentioned the home of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K Sevalperunthagai. After the thorough searches, cops found that the threat was a hoax and there was no bomb found. Earlier in October, threats were sent to other public figures, including Trisha Krishnan and S Ve Sekher, while music composer Ilaiyaraaja's studio in T Nagar was also targeted. In each case, law enforcement determined the warnings to be unfounded.

Earlier a man called cops threatening to plant bomb at actor, TVK chief Vijay's house. On the professional front, Rajinikanth is starring in Jailer 2 under the direction of Nelson Dilip Kumar. Dhanush is starring in Tere Ishq Mein under the direction of Anand L Rai.
