Mari Selvaraj and Rajinikanth Collaboration

Director Mari Selvaraj is working on a story that could feature Superstar Rajinikanth. In a recent interview, Selvaraj revealed that he's developing a script that might work with either Rajinikanth or Dhruv Vikram, depending on who decides to join the project. This potential collaboration comes after Rajinikanth's successful appreciation of Mari Selvaraj's films, including "Pariyerum Perumal," "Karnan," and "Maamannan".

Mari Selvaraj's unique approach involves writing the story first and then finding the right actor to fit the vision. He mentioned that the project is still in its early stages and that Rajinikanth might be slightly unsure about Mari's pattern of work. 

The director is currently promoting his film "Bison Kaalamaadan," starring Dhruv Vikram, which is set to release on October 17, 2025. If the collaboration with Rajinikanth happens, it will likely start after he wraps up "Jailer 2" with Nelson Dilipkumar.

The mutual admiration between Mari Selvaraj and Rajinikanth is evident, with Rajinikanth having called Mari after his film releases to congratulate him and even writing a heartfelt letter after watching "Vaazhai".
