Deepika Padukone Appointed as India First Mental Health Ambassador

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has appointed Deepika Padukone as the country's first-ever Mental Health Ambassador. This announcement was made on World Mental Health Day, October 10, by Union Health Minister JP Nadda. Deepika Padukone's Role and Responsibilities

As Mental Health Ambassador, Deepika Padukone will work closely with the Ministry to raise awareness about mental health, promote de-stigmatization, and encourage help-seeking behavior. She will also promote government-backed resources like Tele MANAS, a tele-mental health assistance and networking system. Deepika's foundation, Live Love Laugh, has been working tirelessly for the past decade to spread awareness and inspire change.

Deepika's appointment has received support from her husband Ranveer Singh, who commented "So proud of you" on her Instagram post announcing the news. With her experience and dedication to mental health advocacy, Deepika Padukone is well positioned to make a positive impact in this field.
