Sameer Wankhade sues Ba***ds of Bollywood . Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan made his debut as the director with Ba***ds of Bollywood which is currently streaming on Netflix. It is bankrolled on Red Chillies Entertainment, which is owned by his parents Shah Rukh and Gauri.
But now the project landed in legal trouble as Ex Narcotic Bureau Officer Sameer Wankhade sued the makers for defamatory portrayal of his role in the film. Wankhade in his defamation suit sought Rs 2crs as the donated to the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital for cancer patients.
He added the the makers deliberately presented a distorted and negative portrayal of anti-drug enforcement agencies, potentially eroding public trust in law enforcement institutions.He also took a strong exception to one particular scene in which a character is shown raising the middle finger immediately after uttering the national slogan "Satyamev Jayate". Wankhede contends that this act constitutes a serious violation of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971, and is punishable under Indian law.
It is known that Sameer Wankhade was the Zonal Chief of the then NCB which conducted a raid on the cruise ship in Mumbai and arrested Aryan Khan in connection with the drugs in October 2021 and Aryan Khan was sent to jail for 15 days.
