Mohanlal Drishyam 3 Begins Filming

The production of Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal and directed by Jeethu Joseph, has officially begun with a traditional puja ceremony held at a law college near Kochi. The film's shoot is expected to wrap up in 55 days, and the story revolves around Georgekutty's life four and a half years after the events of the second instalment.

The film promises to deliver a gripping narrative with a focus on Georgekutty's family dynamics. Unlike the previous installments, Drishyam 3 won't be a thriller, but rather a family drama that explores the changes in Georgekutty's life over the past four years. The law college setting holds special significance, hinting at the inclusion of legal elements in the film. Drishyam 3 is set to release in March 2026 in both Malayalam and Hindi, with the original Malayalam version premiering first.

The film's director, Jeethu Joseph, revealed that the story will organically unfold, showcasing what happens to Georgekutty and his family next. Producer Antony Perumbavoor stated that the decision to move forward with the third instalment came after extensive discussions, convinced that Georgekutty's journey had more to tell.

With Mohanlal receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the launch of Drishyam 3 has added to the celebrations surrounding one of Malayalam cinema's most celebrated stars. The film's release is highly anticipated, and expectations are already sky high among audiences across India and abroad.
