Mirai story is all about a youngster whose life take a surprising and thrilling turn when he possesses supernatural powers. Veda (Teja Sajja) is an orphan and he leads a simple life when suddenly strange things starts happening in his life.

Teja Sajja came up with a realistic and believable performance. His transformation from the youngster into a super hero is shown in a interesting way without any over exaggerations. He showed good expressions and emotions and his body langauge and screenpresence is impactful.
Ritika Nayak looked good and performed well. It seems however, that she put on few ounces and looked chubby. Shriya Sharan performed well in the role of the mother. She looked good on the screen and came up with good expressions, emoted well and also delivered dialogues with ease.
Manchu Manoj played the role of the antagonist. He made an impact with his intense and ferocious expressions. At times he went over the top. However, his role didnot look menacing and turned out to be a big disappointment. Jagapathi Babu and Jayaram performed their roles accordingly. Surprising role of Rana adds value to the narration.
Mirai story is penned by Karthik Ghattamaneni. Though Karthik Ghattamaneni comes up with a simple and straightforward story, he includes various elements to capture the imagination. He blended the historical elements and religious scriptures in an interesting and exciting manner. He instantly increased the curiosity levels and increased the interest levels among movie lovers, connecting chords with one and all. He blended the Lord Ram and Ramayana in a captivating manner and showcased the presence of Sanatana Dharma in the world in an exciting way. He should the emotions of various characters quite well. He also timelined it in an exciting way showing the Kumbh Mela and also showed the happenings as per the story in various countries keeping the interest levels intact without deviating much from the core point.
The first half starts in an interesting way and the pace dips with few predictable elements. However the screenplay turned out to be impactful keeping the viewers glued to the screen. Venkat Maha and Kishore Tirumala's track infact slowed the pace of the narration. There are many high end elevations to give goosebumps to the viewers but the climax faded out when more powerful and thrilling was expected. Karthik Ghattamaneni should be praised for not getting carried away to include commercial elements like songs unnecessarily. He should have followed the same and done away with the forced comedy track.
Hari Gowa catapulted the narration to another level and increased the intensity in the story telling with his impactful background music. His music added value to the narration. Dialogues are thoughtprovking and hardhitting. He ensured that the dialogues donot indulge in hero worship or hero elevation and instead stayed grounded and rooted and showed the transformation of the youngster into a super yodha with immense power. The cinematography of Karthik Ghattamaneni beautified the film and the VFX and CGI are of top quality. This made a stunning impact on the viewers giving a grand visual spectacle on the big screen. Editing of Sreekar Prasad is ok but the runtime could have been shorter. The action sequences are choreographed and well executed showing the various forms of martial arts like Kungfu, Samurai and Judo. Production values are of top class and the makers should be commended for maintaining the high technicial values and also ensuring that the budget donot shoot up.
Altogether, Mirai takes viewers to a thrilling and entertaining ride of a super yodha into history and dharma. Karthik Ghattamaneni came up with a interesting and entertaining story blending religious scriptures and historical developments in a super yodha story and he got the optimum performances from Teja Sajja and others and incorporated his vision with high quality technical values. While the story is interesting, his screenplay is racy and intact but the predictable elements in the first half and the second half screenplay in few sequences went awry. However, the role of the antagonist could have been more menacing, and the duration of the narration could have been trimmed. More powerful character arc for the antagonist could have added the missing spark. Considering all these aspects Cinejosh goes with a 3.25 rating for Mirai.
