Prithviraj Sukumaran Vilayath Buddha Teaser Is Out

Prithviraj Sukumaran's Malayalam thriller project Vilaayath Budha is gearing up for release, with the teaser recently dropping in Telugu and Pan India languages. The film, directed by Jayan Nambiar, is an adaptation of GR Indugopan's acclaimed novel of the same name.

Interestingly, the teaser has drawn comparisons to Allu Arjun's Pushpa, with some scenes mirroring the film. However, Prithviraj's character, Double Mohanan, responds to a Pushpa reference in the teaser, saying, "No, he is international. We are local."

The story revolves around a power struggle between Bhaskaran Master, played by Shammy Thilakan, and his former protege Double Mohanan, over the ownership of a valuable sandalwood tree known as "Vilaayath Buddha". The tree is prized for its high export value and is central to the conflict between the two characters.

The film features a talented cast, including Anu Mohan, Priyamvada Krishnan, and Kottayam Ramesh, with music by Jakes Bejoy and cinematography by Arvind Kashyap, known for his work on Kantara. Despite facing delays due to Prithviraj's injury during filming, Vilaayath Budha promises to be an action packed thriller.
