The Hrithik Roshan, NTR, and Kiara Advani starrer War 2 has minted over Rs 220 crore nett in its second weekend at the domestic box office. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, completed its 11 day theatrical run on Sunday, benefiting from the weekend surge. On day 11, the movie collected Rs 6.50 crore across all languages in India, making the total of War 2 reach Rs 221 crore in the domestic market. Globally the film is close to Rs 350 crore gross.
Although War 2 is picking up well at the Hindi box office, it's clear that the competition from Rajinikanth's Coolie has impacted its numbers. Coolie has stayed ahead in the box office game, earning over Rs 10 crore on Sunday and taking its total to Rs 256.75 crore. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie features an ensemble cast, including Nagarjuna Akkineni, Shruti Haasan, and Soubin Shahir, among others. War 2 began its second weekend with a 20 percent drop but saw a rise of over 50 percent on Saturday, adding Rs 6.25 crore to the tally. The film's collection from Hindi was Rs 5.4 crore, Tamil Rs 0.1 crore, and Telugu Rs 0.75 crore on Saturday. Despite the competition, War 2 has managed to cross the Rs 220 crore mark, a testament to its strong box office performance.
