Over 120 crew members of Ranveer Singh's upcoming film "Dhurandhar" were hospitalized due to suspected food poisoning while shooting in Leh's Patthar Sahib area. The incident occurred on August 17, Sunday with approximately 600 people having consumed meals at the location. The crew members experienced severe abdominal pain, headaches, and vomiting, prompting immediate medical attention.
The Leh Police, district administration, and food safety department have collected food samples for further analysis to determine the cause of the food poisoning. Fortunately, all patients are reported to be in stable condition after receiving treatment at the Sajal Narbu Memorial Hospital.
"Dhurandhar" is a spy action thriller directed by Aditya Dhar, featuring Ranveer Singh alongside Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna in key roles. The film's teaser showcased Ranveer Singh's intense avatar, and it is set to release on December 5, 2025.
The incident has raised concerns about food safety standards at large-scale filming locations in sensitive regions like Leh. Authorities are awaiting laboratory reports to determine accountability and prevent future incidents. The film's production team has not yet commented on the incident.
