Sitaare Zameen Par censor connection to PM Modi

Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par directed by RS.Prasanna is racing for release on 20 June 2025.

Sitaare Zameen Par faced many censor cuts according to the insiders. Members of Censor Board asked the makers to introduce around five modifications to the film. The first included the replacement of the term 'Business Woman' with 'Business Person'. The second suggestion by the Revising Committee included 'Michael Jackson' being replaced by 'Lovebirds'. The committee, headed by Vaman Kendre, also asked the word 'kamal' (lotus) to be removed from the scene.

And finally, the makers were asked to add a quote by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the opening disclaimer. The committee also suggested the old disclaimer be deleted and a new disclaimer with a voice-over be added to the film.

The film's runtime came up to 2 hours 38 minutes and 46 seconds and got U/A certificate.
