Balayya ready to set the New Trend

It is neither the sin of industry people nor the audience. With changing trends, Tollywood has entered a new phase of commercial film making in last two decades where in we have lost those kind of mythological films which were block buster hits running for almost years in theatres.

Although directors like Raghavendra Rao, Singeetham were always competitive in bringing back those golden times, movies like ‘Pandurangadu, Manjunatha, Sri Rama Dasu, Annamayya’ concentrated on the Bhakthi angle but not the real mythology which is of course a new subject for present generation. With mixed results faced by a director like Raghavendra Rao, none dared to touch the purest form of ‘Ramayana’ or ‘Maha Bharatha’ except Balayya long ago with ‘Sri Krishnarjuna Vijayam’ in the direction of Singeetham. 

Later on, now and then Nandamuri Heroes like Balakrishna and Tarak were the only ones who spoke about their dream projects but nothing materialized. Yes, the time seems to have ripened by the good deeds of Yalamanchili Sai Baba who spearheaded this project of ‘Sree Rama Rajyam’ with Balakrishna, Bapu, Mullapudi forming into a team. Well, hope that Balakrishna will set a new trend thus opening the BO way for mythological wonders and wish that many more heroes travel his way.
