Actor Kalpika Ganesh has alleged that she was assaulted by staff members of a Hyderabad club during her birthday celebration. The incident reportedly occurred at Prism Pub in Gachibowli on Tuesday night after a dispute broke out over the club’s policy on outside food. According to Kalpika, the situation escalated when the staff refused to allow her to bring an outside cake for the occasion. In a video shared by the actor on Instagram, she is seen arguing with the pub manager, who stated that complimentary cakes were not part of their policy.
The confrontation intensified, and the actor alleged that she was mistreated and humiliated. Visibly upset, Kalpika refused to pay the bill, crumpled it, and threw it away. The video also captures her accusing the staff of unprofessional and aggressive behaviour. Following the incident, Kalpika approached the Gachibowli police station and lodged a formal complaint. The Hyderabad police have confirmed that a case has been registered and the matter is under investigation.
Kalpika criticised the management and expressed dissatisfaction with the police handling of the situation. She wrote, “One of the worst management even on Google, all reviews suck coz of their inhumanity. Mr K. Narsimulu and Mr Yezas Baba from Gachibowli police station were even worse than the people of the Prism.” As of now, Prism Pub has not issued any public statement in response to the allegations.
Kalpika Ganesh, who made her acting debut in 2009 with Prayanam, has appeared in films such as Sarocharu, HIT: The First Case, and Yashoda. The incident has sparked a lot of discussion online, with many people coming out in support of the actor. The investigation is ongoing, and it remains to be seen how the matter will be resolved.
