Suriya-Venky Atluri project launched . Kollywood star Suriya is renowned for his versatile and impactful performances. For long Telugu movie lovers have been demanding him to do a straight Telugu film and even Suriya promised to do it.

But things did not materialise but much to the delight of all, during his film Retro promotions, he announced that he is doing a Telugu-Tamil bilingual under Venky Atluri's direction and the film would be shot mostly in Hyderabad.

According to the latest, Suriya-Venky Atluri's project was launched officially with a traditional pooja ceremony today. The project was launched in the presence of cast and crew at Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is bankrolling the project under the Sitara Entertainments banner along with Fortune Four Cinemas. Mamitha Baiju of Premalu fame is the female lead while GV.Prakash Kumar is the music director for the film. 

The film's regular shoot will kick-start soon and more details about the cast and crew will be revealed by the makers in the coming days.
