Salman Khan's upcoming film Sikandar has already recovered 80 percent of its budget, even before its theatrical release. The movie, made on a budget of Rs. 200 crore, has earned Rs. 165 crore through various pre-release deals. This includes Rs. 50 crore from satellite rights and Rs. 30 crore from music rights. Additionally, the film is expected to earn between Rs. 85 crore-100 crore in digital rights after its theatrical release.
The film's production cost is Rs. 180 crore, with an additional Rs. 20 crore spent on other expenses. With the majority of its budget recovered, Sikandar is already in profit before its release. The movie's success can be attributed to its pre-release deals, which have helped to offset the production costs. Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sikandar stars Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, and Sathyaraj.
Sikandar is scheduled for release on March 30, instead of the traditional Friday release. This decision was made to coincide with the Eid celebrations, which fall on March 31 this year. The movie is bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala, who has previously worked with Salman Khan on the film Kick. With its pre-release deals and strategic release date, Sikandar is poised to be a profitable venture for its makers.
The film's music has already generated buzz, with the first song "Zohra Jabeen" featuring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna. The second song is expected to be released on Holi, adding to the excitement around the film's release.
