Consesus over Krishna water row

Karnataka Government on Moday came up with a compromise formula to end the row over the height of the Almatti Dam. 

In view of the need of both the riparian states, Karnataka has issued an amicable schedule of  water release for the states.

 The compromise formula of water sharing between the states has been drafted and handed over to the Andhra Pradesh Government. A copy of the compromise formula will be presented to the specially designated court on Tuesday. 

With regard to the Krishna water disputes issue, the officials of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra and the judges of the panel met jointly on Monday and decided to hammer out a consensus method.
