The coastal people came here after selling off their lands and assets to get work in the government or private sector, he told newsmen here.

Undavalli spurned the comments of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao who said Coastal Andhra people robbed the Telanganites of their livelihood.

KCR talks that way about the Coastal Andhra people. He does not bother to see if it hurts the sentiments of people, who are living in harmony with the people of Hyderabad, he said.

“Hyderabad is a sensitive issue. In the State Assembly all elected members voted in favour of unification of the state,” he said.

Undavalli said he was not against bifurcation of the state. If the division of the state was imminent, he would vote for bifurcation of the state, he said.

He said Governance would be better in smaller states. However, he hastened to add that it was KCR's personal opinion.

On the carving out of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh, he said much depends on the decision the the Congress High Command.
