KD: The Devil (2026) Movie - Story Review
KD-The Devil story revolves around a good natured individual and how his life changes following the missteps and how he handles them. Kaalidasa aka Kaali aka KD (Dhruva Sarja) due to circumstances starts idolising Dhak Deva (Sanjay Dutt), who weilds an iron like grip in and around Bengaluru.
Where this leads to and what roles, KD's lady love Machhlakshmi (Reeshma Nanaiah), his brother Dharma (Ramesh Aravind), Satyavati (Shilpa Shetty), Annayyappa (V.Ravichandran), Rudra Mishra (Jisshu Sen Gupta) and Kaala Bhairava (Sudeepa) form the interesting part.
KD: The Devil (2026) Movie - Artists Review
KD-The Devil Movie Hero Dhruva Sarja performed well in the role and showed good variations in his expressions and body language according to the situation. He emoted well and made his presence felt with his body language and mannerisms. He looked good on the screen and enacted intense action sequences with ease.
Sanjay Dutt looked menacing on the screen. He with his persona elevated the scenes. However his role is wasted as his character arc is not developed properly. Ramesh Arvind made his presence felt as he got a role of substance.
Shilpa Shetty, V. Ravichandran, Reeshma Nanaiah, Jisshu Sengupta performed their accordingly as they didnot get any scope to showcase their acting talent. Nora Fatehi sizzled in a special song. Sudeepa made his presence felt in a cameo.
KD: The Devil (2026) Movie - Technicians Review
KD-The Devil story is penned by Prem. Right from the start the story is eccentric to the core. When he entered the industry his story telling turned out to be unique but he started using the same and followed the same using technological advances offering nothing new ending up testing the patience of the viewers.
The narration lacks continuity and screenplay turned out to be bizzare and viewers are left wondering what he was upto. Though Dhruva Sarja worked hard, his character turned out to be loud. Reeshama Nanaiah is ok and Sanjay Dutt's character looked extremely awkward. As the narration progresses, the viewers interest wane and when the film ends, they heave a sigh of relief.
The cinematography of William David added value to the narration turning it rich. However Arjun Janya's music failed with misplaced songs and also the background score turned out to be very jarry and loud. VFX turned out to be below average and the editing Sanketh Achar failed completely. What surprised all is they completely deleted the controversial song of Norah Fatehi. Production values are good.
KD: The Devil - Advantages
- Dhruva Sarja to some extent
- Kiccha Sudeep Cameo
- Couple of Action Blocks
KD: The Devil - Disadvantages
- Predictable Story
- BGM
- Loud Dialogues
- Extreme Violence
KD: The Devil (2026) Movie - Rating Analysis
Altogether, KD-The Devil turns out to be a complete disappointment. Prem as the director failed to get the optimum from the cast and crew. Despite the presence of top stars like Sanjay Dutt and performer like Dhruva Sarja, instead of concentrating on coming with strong story, he paid attention to action sequences and extreme violence. Even the character arcs are underdeveloped and actors turned out to be mere puppets. He lacked the conviction and sticking to his old proven formula turned out to be a drawback. he failed completely with his screenplay, story and direction. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 rating for KD: The Devil.
