Akasaveerudu (Vijay Sethupathi) opens a tiffin centre and makes it famous with his parotas. He comes across a girl, Rani (Nithya Menen), who falls in love with his parotas and finally ends up getting married. Where this leads to and what role his mother played form the interesting part of the development.

Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen's scenes turned out to be the highlight in the film. Yogi Babu evoked few laughs but his character turned out to be irrelevant to the proceedings. There are  many other actors who performed according to their roles.

Sir Madam (Thalaivan Thalaivii): Technicians Review

Sir Madam story is penned by Pandiraj. The narration starts simply and slowly, and initially, it doesn't generate much interest as the director takes time to introduce various characters. However, in the run-up to the interval block, the story enters the main plot, and the screenplay picks up pace.

The second half, from then on, sails smoothly at a racy pace, and one particular twist excites all. For all that, the screenplay turns one-dimensional and predictable and doesn't offer much in terms of surprises. He showed the happenings in a natural and realistic manner and it connects chords with the viewers as it reflects the daily happenings in every household.

Santosh Narayanan's music and the tunes he scored are good and appealing. He elevated the scenes with his background music. Pradeep E Raghav's editing is good but could have been better in the first half. M.Sukumar's cinematography turned the film visually beautiful and colorful and showed the scenes in a natural manner. Dialogues are good. Production values are decent.

Sir Madam: Advantages

  • Performances
  • Lead Pair Chemistry
  • BGM
  • Emotional Scenes

Sir Madam: Disadvantages

  • Simple Point
  • Few Unwanted Scenes

Sir Madam (Thalaivan Thalaivii): Rating Analysis

Altogether, Sir Madam is a family drama mainly concentrated about clashes between wife and husband in a comical tone. Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen came up with stellar performances, while Pandiraj, with a simple story showed the scenes in a natural manner to entertain all. Though the film has hilarious elements, but few loud scenes marred the narration. Had he done away with the unwanted scenes and added a few more interesting elements, things would have been even more impactful. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2.5 rating for Sir Madam.
