Shashtipoorthi (2025) Movie: Artists Review

Rupeysh played the role of the lawyer, the lead role quite well. He came up with decent expressions and emotions and showed good body language and mannerisms. He delivered dialogues with ease and also enacted a few stunts. However, he has a long way to go and hone his skills to the maximum. Aakanksha Singh looked glamorous in songs and beautiful in the traditional attire.

Rajendra Prasad and Archana carried the film on their shoulders with their performances bringing in their experience. Their screen presence is good and elevated the scenes. However, the flashback episodes featuring Rajendra Prasad and Archana, especially the romantic scenes, looked extremely odd and a complete mismatch to the proceedings.

Others like Prabhas Sreenu, Chalaki Chanti, Chakrapani Ananda, Achyut Kumar, Muralidhar Goud, Anil, Jabardasth Ram, Latha, Swetha, Ruhi, Sanjay Swarup, Ambaresh Appaji, Anupama, Mahi Reddy, Firoz performed according to their roles.

Shashtipoorthi (2025) Movie: Technicians Review

Shashtipoorthi story is penned by Pavan Prabha. Right from the start till the end the narration assumed a predictable plot. The story is routine and monotonous and outdated. Even in the 80s, this story would have found it difficult to bring viewers to the big screen.

The story turned out to be weak but couple of scenes in the first half turned out to be decent. The interval block is ok but from then on the narration nosedives. Though, the director Pavan Prabha tried to connect chords with the emotions, everything turned out to be preachy and also predictable and failed to make an impact.

To the top of it, the flashback episodes looked extremely odd, especially the romantic track which became a laughing stock. The pre climax generates interest but it turned out to be forced and hurried to the core. Finally when the film comes to an end, everyone heaves a sigh of relief. Director failed with his screenplay and direction.

Ilayaraja's music and a couple of songs are melodious and foot tapping. They are shot in an appealing manner on the big screen. His background score is in sync with the storyline. Cinematography of Ram is good and he tried to beautify the film turning it colourful. He showed the beauty of Godavari region in a natural and scenic way. Editing of Karthika Srinivas turned out to be a disappointment. There are many drags and repetitive scenes that are left unattended. Production values are good.

Shashtipoorthi (2025) Movie: Advantages

  • Promotes Ethics
  • Couple of Songs
  • Cinematography

Shashtipoorthi (2025) Movie: Disadvantages

  • Outdated Plot
  • Weak Screenplay, Direction
  • Snail's Pace

Shashtipoorthi (2025) Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Shashtiporthi turned out to be silly and outdated entertainer. Rupesh as a producer and actor came up with a spirited performance and roped in experienced cast and crew but the director Pavan Prabha came up with an outdated story and he came up with ridiculous scenes in the name of comedy and even more silly scenes in the name of flashback romance. The snail pace narration and serial like proceedings hampered the film. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 rating for Shashtipoorthi.
