Sasivadane story revolves around two youngsters and their romantic journey and how they overcomes the obstacles with in and outside their family in the picturesque village. Raghava (Rakshit Atluri) who is on the verge pursuing PG in the University falls for a beautiful girl Sasi (Komalee Prasad). Where this leads to , whether Raghava able to pursue his PG and also win over his lady love and what connection form the rest of the narration.
Rakshit Atluri came up with a much improved performance. He showed good variations and according to his looks and but still he should work on his expressions.
Komalee Prasad looked beautiful, innocent and cute except for the introduction scene. She didnot get much scope to show her acting talent but she she oozed with glamor on the big screen.
Sreeman performed well in the role of the father of the hero. He looked natural and realistic. Subrahmanyam and others performed according to their roles.
Sasivadane story is penned by director Sai Mohan Ubbana. He tried to entertain movie lovers with a youthful romantic entertainer. However, right from the start till the finish everything turned out to be routine and monotonous.
His screenplay turned out to be unidimensional and didnot inspire confidence. He failed to comeup with any novelty in the story or the scenes. He failed to come up with interesting characterisation and character arcs and even disappointed with the conflict point. But the climax turns out to be a huge disappointment.
The music for the film is tuned by Saravana Vasudevan came up with good soulful tunes that are required for the love story. Even the background music tuned by Anudeep Dev is also good. However, the substandard sound remixing brought down the beauty of the songs. At times, the dialogues dominated the music and at times songs impacted.
The cinematography of Saikumar Dara is decent and he showed the Godavari locations in a beautiful and appealing manner. Editing of Garry BH left of a lot to be desired. There are many drags in the film. Production values are ok.
Altogether, Sasivadane turns out to be old wine in very old bottle. Director Sai Mohan Ubbana failed completely with his core point, story and one is left to wonder on what basis he proceeded with story and what structure he followed while penning the story. Except for few visuals, songs, everything failed to impress viewers. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for Sasivadane.
