Telugu film titled interestingly as One/4 is releasing today on 30 Jan 2026. The film is helmed by Bahubali Palani K and it stars Venkatesh Peddapalem, Aparnna Mallik, Heena Soni in important roles. Let us see what One/4 movie offered to movie lovers.
One/4 story revolves around a youngster whose happy life changes drastically due to slip of his tongue and the consequences he faces. Kiran (Venkatesh) who completes his education before his job search becomes friends with BIke Mechanic (Temper Vamsi) and three others who decide to share everything one/4.
This brings shocking changes in the life of Pavitra (Heena Soni) and where this leads to form the interesting twists and turns.
Venkatesh who is well known actor in Sandalwood did full justice to his role. Heena Soni who played the role of the female lead impresses with her emotional performance. Aparna Mallik is fine in her role. Temper Vamsi did well in the role of the antagonist.
Aparna Shetty, Madhusudhan Rao, Vedish Javeri, Sunitha Manohar, Khushboo, Sujatha, Srinivas, Narendra Varma, Srs Varma, Rana, and Suhani Vyas performed according to their roles.
One/4 story is penned by Bahubali Palani.k. He spent the entire first half by introducing the various characters. Though this is ok, the love story turns out to be boring and slowed the pace of the narration. But the story picks up pace once the one by 4 team swings into action. The emotional scenes that appear ahead of the interval appeal to all setting the stage for the second half.
Director emerged successful in taking forward the emotions into the second half. The screenplay is fine with the antagonist seeking revenge with a twist. However, many such stories came earlier and so people will not get over excited with the proceedings. To the top of it,the drinking scenes featuring the villains are dragged. They could have done away with most of them. The first half turned out tobe just average but interest increased just ahead of the interval. Love Story too doesn't excite much as it turned out to be simile annd the comedy scenes failed to evoke laughter. The film ends with a good message in the end.
The cinematography of Gunasekhar is good. Background score by Subhash Anand turned out to be loud. Songs are ok. Editing left a lot to be desired. There are many drags which impacted the flow of the narration. Production values are good.
Altogether, One/4 turns out to be another familiar thriller. Director Bahubali Palani planned to thrill viewers with interesting twists and turns but the slow pace in the first half and predictable elements undid all the good intentions. Had he doneaway with these elements and turned the film screenplay racy, things would have been different. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 rating for One/4.
