Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene Review, What’s Behind?

After incessant flops, Sundeep Kishan has come up with a romantic thriller NVNN for which he is also one of the co-producers. Let’s see whether this film will provide much needed break for the young hero.

Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene Story Review:

Rishi (Sundeep Kishan) on his wife Diya (Anya Singh)’s birthday plans a surprise treat. While coming back home, they meet with an accident. Some how they manage to reach home and find some eerie things happening, shocked to see someone else in the mirror for their faces. Who are the couple in mirror?

Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene Artists, Technicians Review:

What if you see the mirror and out of the blue find someone else looking back at you? It’s a thin storyline but surely unique, spine-chilling idea. Like many newcomers, Caarthick Raju has also botched to make this an engaging thriller with his poor writing and directorial skills. Of course, there are twists, turns and the horror factor... nothing cooked properly.

Once the major twists and turns unveiled, director has clearly confused in giving a right conclusion. Sandeep's quest for many unanswered questions in his life is hardly persuasive. Then climax is even shoddier. Due to average production standards, none of the technician's work looked great... right from cinematographer to music director. Thanks that atleast SS Thaman's RR reverberates.

Onto performances, Sundeep Kishan is cool as caring husband who happens to see some eerie things. Anya Singh didn’t look like a heroine material. She looked pretty normal and was just okay on performance front. Vennela Kishore in an abnormal role gives some relief whenever he’s seen on screen. Posani too is hilarious as the cop who discovers ghost inside the protagonist's character. Murali Sharma delivers stellar performance as a psychiatrist.

Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene Review, Rating Analysis:

Based on two high points of lead couple seeing someone else in the mirror and a goose bump interval twist, director Caarthick Raju penned the story which lacked engaging elements. The film falls flat in narrative especially in the second half, once the suspense is unfolded.

First half opens on appealing note with a senior psychiatrist helping young group of students with their thesis on supernatural elements. It's happening now in 2035. He narrates them an own experience with a young couple- Rishi and Diya. How their life changed completely when they met with an accident? Here on, there are some constant twists n turns which generating some curiosity. Then interval episode is superbly designed with unexpected twist that promises much more in second half.

Latter half is dealt quite amaturely. There are hardly any exciting elements. Storytelling turned tedious as Sundeep gets all the answers. What starts out as a peculiar supernatural story suddenly turns into a melodrama in the end with message to take home.

All in all, Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene has a unique plot. Executional flaws from director Caarthick Raju made it an average fare. Had he fine tuned second half and made few changes in script, this would have been a real break through for Sandeep, which he has been long waiting . CJ goes with 2.5 stars and the film hasn't got much time in BO terms because iSmart is on the way in next five days.
