Ramana performed well in his role. He showed good mannerisms and body langauge and came up with an improved peformance. If he works hard even more he can progress to the next level. He played two roles in the film and showed good variations and ame up with good dialogue delivery.
Varsha Vishwanath looked beautiful on the screen but she has lot of scope to improve on the acting front. Gemini Suresh is good in the role of the police office. Govind Raj performed well in his role.
Others like Sree Charan, Sunitha Manohar, Kiran Medasani, Harshad Sripathi, Gopal Maharshi (Mallikarjuna Elika), Ramakrishna Sanapala, Bhimaraju, Ganesh Beri, Master Vihar Vattikuti performed according to their roles.
Mutton Soup story is readied by Rama Chandra Vattikuti. He came up with a crime thriller on debut to impress viewers with the twists and turns. It is commendable that instead of penning his own story, he came up with a story based on real life incidents as his job became easy.
He included interesting twists and turns in the story and narrated them in a captivating manner. Dialogues are interesting and thoughprovoking. The first half sails off in an interesting manner with few lags as the director takes his own sweet time to go into the story and the pace dips in the second half. He came up with good story and unraveled the suspense in a good manner. But his lack of experience in direction became a negative factor.
Cinematography of Bharadwaj and Phanindra is good and they showed the scenes in a natural and realistic manner. Venki Veena's music is ok and background score is in sync with the storyline. Lokesh Kumar Kadali's editing could have been better. There are drags that impacted the pace of the narration. Production values are decent.
Altogether, Mutton Soup turns out to be an interesting crime thriller. Director Rama Chandra Vattikuti came up with interesting story and narrated the same without much deviations. However, had he done away with the lags and predictable elements and included few more twists and turns and turned the screenplay racy, impact would have been more powerful. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2.5 rating for Mutton Soup.
