Artists, Technicians Review

MS.Rajasekhar Reddy on debut chose a mass entertainer to elevate the mass image of Nithin among movie lovers. The idea was right and he tried in the right earnest. He starts off the narration in a typical mass manner but within minutes, he loses steam. He planned to show Nithin as a soft person for most of the first half and end it with a mass bang and then take his heroism to another level in the second half.

But all his plans went awry as the story turned extremely routine, monotonous, and outdated. He passed the entire first half, wasting precious time in the same of silly and ridiculous comedy involving Vennela Kishore, Nithin, and others. Many expected the second half to take off, and Rajasekhar Reddy tried earnestly. A couple of fights and a couple of songs set the stage before the director ran out of ideas, and finally, he ended the film in a tame manner. To summarise, MS.Rajasekhar Reddy doled out a routine and outdated story which viewers watched many times on screen and failed with his screenplay and direction.

Nithin tried his best to attract the masses with his new look. He enacted heavy-duty fights and even delivered powerful dialogues. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't create the required impact with his mass dialogues. He carried himself well on the screen and made an impression with his performance. He danced and fought with full energy. Krithi Shetty looked cute and played an important role in the film. Nithin and Krithi Shetty's chemistry is fine in the film and their songs came out well.

Catherine Tresa played an inconsequential role. Even in that, she failed to make an impact as she put on lot of weight. Samuthirakhani played the dual roles of father and son to perfection. He came up with the right kind of expressions and his looks and attire created fear. His dialogue delivery is good. Murali Sharma, Rajendra Prasad, Indraja, and Brahmaji performed according to their roles. Vennela Kishore got a lot of screen presence, especially in the first half but his comedy failed to make viewers laugh. Instead, it ended up irritating viewers as the comedy looked cringed, outdated, and atrocious.

Mahati Swara Sagar tuned mass beats for all the songs. Masses enjoy the songs but only a couple of them make an impact. Anjali's special song thrills all. The songs are well choreographed and beautifully shot. The background score is ok and at times it turned out to be loud and noisy. The cinematography of Prasad Murella is in sync with the plot. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao's editing left a lot to be desired. There are many scenes that could have been chopped off. Dialogues are routine and nothing worthy to talk about. Production values are good.

Rating Analysis

Director Rajasekhar Reddy turned Macherla Niyojaka Vargam with Nithin into a clumsy affair. With the story itself turning outdated, no amount of effort from Nithin saved the film. Nithin put in everything sincerely and did everything that is in his hands, but Rajasekhar Reddy turned out to be the culprit with no novelty and creativity. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 1.75 rating for Macherla Niyojaka Vargam.
