Anupama Parameswaran got a role to showcase her acting talent and she did a good job coming up with silent expressions. Rajisha Vijayan impressed viewers in the role of the sister. Though she got limited screen presence she did well.

Pasupathy as the father of the hero emoted well expressing his concern and care for his son's future and wellbeing.

Ameer and Lal elevated the scenes with their screen presence as rivals baying for each other's blood. Azhagam Perumal, Aruvi Madhan and Anurag Arora did full justice to their roles with their performances.

Bison (2025) Movie: Technicians Review

Bison story is penned by Mari Selvaraj. Mari Selvaraj came up with the story revolving around Kabaddi sport. The film is based on the real life incidents of Indian Kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan. While this turns out to be the central plot, he included it various elements like caste, hate politics in the backdrop of village drama and also love and romance and discrimination. He included various mass elements to elevate the heroism of the protagonist.

While this generates interest at times, with the passage of time it will end up testing the patience of the viewers. Just like all sports drama, they have familiar tropes. There are predictable elements and the screenplay turns out to be predictable. the climax is fine in a way but one wonders why people go after eachother killing everyone. The first half fails to gain momentum and the second half picks up pace with action scenes though predictable most of the times. The scenes featuring kabaddi sport in the village atmosphere is shown in a natural and realistic manner. However the same can't be said of the Asian Games finals match between India and Pakistan.

With various subplots, the director lost the main story and unnecessarily deviated from the main element.

The music scored by Nivas K Prasanna is situational. The songs elevated the emotions. The background music is good and is in sync with the storyline. However at times, the background score turned underwhelming.  Ezhil Arasu K with his cinematography turned the film into a realistic one. The scenes are natural and showed the village atmosphere in a way giving a rustic feel. The editing of Sakthi Thiru could have been better. There are many drags and repetitive scenes that slowed the pace of the film. Dialogues are natural and the production values are good.

Bison Movie: Advantages

  • Dhruv Vikram
  • BGM
  • Cinematography

Bison Movie: Disadvantages

  • Gory Scenes
  • Repetitive Elements
  • Predictable Plot

Bison Kaalamaadan (2025) Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Bison is the most violent sports based entertainer. Dhruv Vikram came up with good performance and director Mari Selvaraj added politics, hate, discrimination and blended them well in the sports based entertainer. He created powerful characters and though he came up with a good story, and did justice to it with screenplay and direction but the script had many side plots and this marred the film's final output. To the top of it, brutal objectification of violence will alienate many viewers. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2.5 rating to Bison Kaalamaadan.
