Attitude Star Chandra Hass' new film Barabar Premistha is releasing on 6 February 2026. The film is directed by Sampath Rudra. Let us see what the film offered to movie lovers
Barabar Premistha story revolves around two groups who hate each other and always fight and where this leads to when girl and boy from both communities fall in love.
Karma group and Dharma group fight against each other and they are led by Chandu (Chandra Hass) and Bujjamma (Megna Mukherjee).
All hell breaks loose when Chandu and Bujjamma fall in love but they are in for a huge shock. What is that shock and how Bujjamma father, Sarpanch Narayana (Muralidhar Goud) and Chandu father Sivayya (Subhodayam Subbarao) react form rest of the narration.
Chadra Hass impresses with his energetic and youthful perrformance. He looked good in youthful and romantic scenes and performed well during the climax. He delivered dialogues with ease according to the situation. He should however, hone his skills to reach the next level of stardom.
Megna Mukherjee looked beautiful on the screen. She performed well, showing variations in her expressions and emotions. Muralidhar Goud annd Subhodayam Subbarao performed well according to their roles. Others like Arjun Mahi (Ishtamgaa Fame), Madhunandhan, Meesala Laxman, Abainaveen, Rajamouli, Keerthi Latha Goud and Suneetha Manohar played their part accordingly.
Barabar Premistha story is Ma.Tirupathi and is directed by Sampath Rudra. The screenplay is provided by Sampath Rudra, Ma Tirupathi and dialogues are provided by Ramesh Rai. He tried to entertain movie lovers with a romantic story in the backdrop of village entertainer.
The entire first half is spent on introducing various characters and establishing the rivalry between the hero and heroine group and the secret blossoming of love. The first half ends on a sedate note setting the stage for the second half. The second half shows the efforts of hero , heroine to unite the warring factions headed by their parents. Almost all the scenes and sequences are outdated and looked routine on stage.
The director tried to generate humour but it failed to workout. Finally he ended the film with an intense climax and it turns out to be predictable. One gets a feeling that after everything is lost, director tried to add shock value with the climax along with a message to the society. The story turned out to be routine, weak and predictable and the slow narration ended up testing the patience of the viewers.
RR. Dhruvan came up with foot-tapping and youthful tunes and the songs are shot well. His background music is in sync with the storyline.
The editing of Bonthala Nageswara Reddy could have been far better. There are many scenes that are show-paced and unnecessary.
The Cinematography of YR.Sekhar is colourful, and the village scenes are shot in a rustic and realistic manner. Dialogues are ok and production values are decent.
Altogether, Barabara Premistha turns out to be predictable rustic rural romantic entertainer. Chadra Hass and Megna Mukharjee came up with spirited performaces but the director Sampath Rudra's routien story, weak narraton and insipid screeplay and direction played the spoilsport. A little finetuning of the script would have helped the final output. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 1 rating for Barabar Premistha.
