Visakhapatnam,Dec 26: Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths on Saturday conducted simultaneous raids on the residences of town planning officials and a surveyor working in Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation and unearthed assets worth Rs 18 lakh which is beyond their known sources of income.According to the sources, the officials conducted raids on the house of Chief Town Planning officer Raghu, who was recently transferred from Hyderabad division, planning officer Shanmukhareddy and town surveyor Govinda Raju and recovered assets worth Rs 18 lakh.
The ACB officials said searches are still going on and the exact amount of property would be known by evening.In another raid, the ACB officials seized Rs 50 lakh worth assets from Ramakrishna, Assistant Electrical Engineer working in Alamuru electricity board, in East Godavari district on Saturday.Searches are still going on. ACB officials registered a case.
