National Research and Development Corporation (NRDC) would help in setting up of an Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) cell for the first time at the premises of Gitam University, Director of Gitam Institute of International Business (GIIB) V K Kumar said here on Tuesday.Addressing the media on Monday, he said that the IPR were important areas in international business. Global entrepreneurship could not be promoted without facilitating registration of patents to Scientists, NGOs and other commercial organizations.
He further added that the NRDC Officials C M Gaind and V Raghuram would help us in setting up of the IPR cell.
He explained that the IPR cell along with NRDC will take up consultancy projects from the Industry on issues related to IPRs.The Cell has developed an IPR policy which will provide the guidelines for the management of IPRs generated within the University.The NRDC official, Mr Raghuram said that all the matters connected with the IPR cell would provide the necessary support for filing of IPR related issues with authorities concerned.
