Popular actor R.Narayanamurthy was arrested today. It is known that farmers across the country have been protesting for more than a year against the new farm laws introduced by the Union Government headed by PM Modi.
As a part of their protests, farmers today conducted Chalo Rajbhavan in Hyderabad, Telangana. R.Narayanamurthy participated in the protests supporting the cause. Since the police did not give permission to farmers' protests, they arrested the protestors including Narayamurthy.
Narayanamurthy speaking to scribes once again demanded Union Government to scrap the new farm laws as they turn farmers into laborers. R.Narayanamurthy is known for his revolutionary films on the silver screen and is popular as People's Star. Union Government held many discussions with the protesting farmers and the unions but they couldn't arrive at an amicable solution and the deadlock has been continuing. It has to be seen when a solution acceptable to both parties will be found.
