Compared to other celebrities across the country, Tollywood stars have acute business acumen. So they expand their horizons by investing their savings in various businesses. Till recently they invested in real estate, hospitals etc. But now, they are launching their production houses. This because if stars act in outside banners, they get around Rs 30-40crs. In their own banners, they get double the remuneration.
Mahesh Babu became a producer with Srimanthudu. From then on he started producing his films. Mahesh bagged Sarileru Neekevvaru non-theatrical rights and this includes satellite, digital, and dubbing rights which fetched him a whopping Rs 50crs.
Prabhas has his own banner UV Creations. He did Saaho and is now doing Radhe Shyam on UV banner. He will be doing a Bollywood film under the same banner.
Pawan Kalyan did one film under his own banner Pawan Kalyan Creative Works. That is Sardar Gabbar Singh.
NTR has NTR Arts banner. Though it is Kalyan Ram’s banner, one can consider it as his own banner. He did Jai Lava Kusa and after RRR is doing the film with Trivikram under NTR arts banner.
Allu Arjun has been frequently doing films under his home banner Geetha Arts.
