Mahesh Babu scored a blockbuster in the form of Okkadu. The film first went to Prabhas. MS Raju and Gunasekhar first narrated the story to Prabhas and Krishnam Raju. But they felt that it was risky with the game script.

Don Seenu also first went to Prabhas. But Prabhas rejected it as he felt that the storyline is similar to Bujjigadu. Jil story was narrated to Prabhas but he did not want to make the director wait as he was busy with Baahubali and so missed it.
