Late Darshakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao was considered to be 'Industry Pedda' by many actors and technicians of Tollywood. Especially, small budget filmmakers would show great respect on him.
However, Dasari appeared to have got not so good terms with mega family. He used to throw satires on Megastar Chiranjeevi indirectly in public events. While Dasari's loyalists kept on saying there were internal rifts between Darshakaratna and mega family, mega fans would allege it was Dasari's jealousy on mega family that made him develop unnecessary hatred on Chiranjeevi.
In the meanwhile, Chiranjeevi gave an interview to a media house recently. Answering to a question about the alleged rivalry between him and Dasari, Chiranjeevi was straight forward divulging the truth without any hesitation.
"When any issue was faced by an individual, Dasari garu would wish the person would narrate the issue with his hands folded in front of him with respect. And when I decided to join active politics, Dasari garu wanted I would consult him and would take his advice. But then, I didn't do so. Perhaps, this is the reason why he was annoyed with me," admitted Chiranjeevi.
Surprisingly, Dasari, in his last days, exhibited a divergent behaviour towards Chiranjeevi. He appeared quite affectionate towards Chiranjeevi. He attended the pre release event of Khaidi Number 150 and wished the film's grand success. Chiranjeevi, himself, gave away Allu Ramalingaiah award to Dasari at the latter's home. Says Chiranjeevi, "I never wish a person, in his last days, develop annoyance on me. And that's why I asked him to grace my 150th film's pre release event and he obliged it. Moreover, I presented Allu Ramalingaiah award to Dasari garu at his residence."
