Mega Star Chiranjeevi who has been at the forefront of fighting against coronavirus shared his lockdown diaries.
Calling off Acharya shoot: During Acharya's film shoot, I used to discuss the corona pandemic with Sonu Sood and director Koratala Siva. During that time when Telangana CM KCR asked everyone to maintain social distancing etc, I called Koratala Siva and told him it is better to call off Acharya shooting. They also understood that we shouldn't be the cause for coronavirus spread, supported my decision. After observing the situation in the next two days, all Tollywood biggies decided to stop the shootings.
The precautions you and your family taking: We are observing home quarantine very strictly. I gave holidays to my helpers, drivers, security persons, housekeeping staff. I have taken this decision respecting the lockdown period. I am planning to persist with this decision for some more time after the Lockdown ends. Cooks, helpers in the house and other workers have been in our house for quite some time. They are also in self-quarantine. We are requesting guests not to come for some time. My daughters, sisters and their family members are staying along with us. We are watching new films, reading good books, exercising twice a day, watering plants, gardening, cleaning the swimming pool. Time is passing off in a jiffy. It is a new feeling watching the city sitting outside the early morning. In this period we got the opportunity to come near nature. Though it is testing time, we are enjoying a little bit of it.
Experimenting in the kitchen: It is expensive for experimenting with new foods. So I am not entering the kitchen to do new dishes. However, I sometimes prepare dosas and upma.
In free time: I had a dream of writing my autobiography. I got free time. So I along with Surekha is recollecting the old memories and recording them as videos.
On heroines not donating as expected: Already Tamannaah, Kajal came forward to donate. Other heroines are not having information and there is no other reason. We are personally contacting everyone.
CCC future plans: After Corona, CCC will end. However, the Mana Kosam association will work.
About playing the role of a Naxal in Acharya: Already the look got leaked. Koratala Siva has communist feelings and came from that background. My role reflects his ideology. I can say only that.
On Mahesh starring in Acharya. Rumors on Ram Charan: By mistake, I revealed the title, Acharya. Since you are asking I am telling. I do not know how Mahesh Babu's name came out. Mahesh has a lot of respect, love, etc on me and I also like him a lot. If I get a chance to do a film with Mahesh Babu it is wonderful. He is also like my son. Koratala for long had plans to cast Ram Charan in one important role in the film. He is however busy with RRR. So there is confusion how far he can allocate dates to Acharya. If Rajamouli and Koratala Siva come to an understanding Ram Charan will be here in Acharya. Or else.. Surekha has a dream of myself and Charan doing a complete film. Let us see whether her dream turns true.
If the role is there is it a cameo or special role: Reasonably, the duration will be more.
Future projects after Acharya: Haven't thought of it. Discussions are on with four to five directors. Will soon reveal. I haven't decided on the director for Lucifer's remake.
There is a talk that Pawan Kalyan is doing Lucifer remake: No.. No.. I am doing that film. If brother (Pawan Kalyan) shows interest, I will definitely give it to him. But till now I did not get any information from him.
