AP & TG Employees Salary Cut for 3 Months?

If at all ongoing aired reports are anything to go by, AP and Telangana governments are all set to give a rude shock to the government employees of Telugu states.

Inasmuch as the novel coronavirus is devastating upstairs and downstairs, an intense economic crisis has engulfed the states' exchequers. Ensuring the adverse crisis bailed out, the AP government is mulling over to slash 30% of the salary of the employees for three consecutive months. However, the government may assure the union leaders to payback the deducted amount in instalments when the situation is brought to normalcy.

However, employees of health, police and municipal departments will be exempted from salary deductions as they have discharged extreme services in the times of crisis.

Meanwhile, both the CMs are heard to have decided to not to give salaries to the MLAs and MLCs.

It remains to be seen how well unions of employees would react on the government's decision.
