Priyanka Jhawalkar, tempted all romancing Genex star Vijay Deverakonda in Taxiwala. Many got attracted to her going by her surname and fell under the impression that she hails from Maharashtra.
However, the moment she revealed that she hails from Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh and is a Telugu girl, she stopped getting any offers. She is now starring in Gamanam under the direction of Sujana. Speaking about it, she said she is rediscovering her talent as acting.
Priyanka said she is playing the role of a Muslim teenager Zara and the moment she heard the narration with her character having different layers and emotions, she instantly dreamed of starring in this film.
She said she prepared for the role extensively and she is discovering her acting talent. She said had she missed the role she would have missed the bliss of acting. Priyanka is also making her Tamil debut romancing Siddharth under the direction of Amruth Raj.
