Young Rebel Star Prabhas after creating a sensation with Baahubali came with a powerful mass high octane entertainer Saaho. The film turned out to be a disaster in all the languages except in Bollywood.
Prabhas went into a shell, after Saaho shock. He is under intense pressure to satisfy all sections of his fans. While his North Indian fans across the country wish to see him in high voltage mass action entertainers, his Telugu fans wish to see him in films that have regional flavor.
Saaho lacked that balancing act and completely went out of sync. Prabhas loaded the film with just action scenes and in the process story went for a toss. Prabhas is undertaking many corrective measures for his next tentatively titled Oh Dear/Radhe under the direction of Radhakrishna Kumar. He is ensuring that the story has strong elements to please Telugu viewers and at the same time has action scenes to attract his North Indian fans.
Prabhas listened to various directors like Prashanth Neel, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Anil Ravipudi and Bobby for his next but he got stuck up as he got only mass action entertainers. Prabhas fears that if he does only mass entertainers, he will go into a shell.
Prabhas is planning to break shackles and it seems that is the reason he teamed with Nag Ashwin. Generally, none would have expected Prabhas who has a mass image to team up with a class director. This is because though Sujeeth did an action entertainer Saaho after Prabhas' Baahubali, he failed to match Prabhas' image.
Now all eyes are on Nag Ashwin, a class director and how he will handle Prabhas' newfound stardom. Nag Ashwin should balance his style and Prabhas' image. If Prabhas thinks of his image, he will get confined to mass shell and it, in turn, increases pressure.
So Prabhas planned to break the shackles by teaming with Nag Ashwin. Many feel Prabhas changed the track and teamed with Nag Ashwin in a strategic manner. Sources say Mega Star Chiranjeevi is helping Prabhas to come out of his shell.
Buzz is producer Ashwini Dutt during Mahanati promotions informed Chiranjeevi that his son in law Nag Ashwin developed a sci-fi thriller. Chiru after listening to the story, told him that more than him, the story suits Prabhas' image and if he does the film, his stardom will reach another level.
Prabhas, the moment he heard about it, out of respect for Chiranjeevi, at once gave a green signal to the project. So movie lovers across the country are waiting for a really powerful mega sensation from Rebel Star on screen.
