MeToo movement not only shocked Hollywood but also Bollywood and other regional industries in the country. However, when the likes of Sri Reddy and other lesser-known heroines spoke about the MeToo movement and casting couch in Tollywood, industry biggies did not care to bother about them.
Top heroines rubbished their allegations saying they never experienced casting couch in Tollywood. Under these circumstances, Gunjan who made her entry into Tollywood with a film titled Wife which released last week stunned all by claiming "I know the inside out secrets of all top heroines. Do you want me to reveal those heroines names who slept for offers?"
This sent shock waves in the industry. Gunjan went on to add "One will not get even a small role without sleeping with the directors and heroes. However, I am against such deeds. I got the looks and will be glamorous on-screen and there is nothing wrong in donning bikinis and doing intimate scenes and liplocks on screen. In fact who do not like to be treated as a heroine?"
Gunjan continued saying, “I do not find the necessity to sleep with the directors or producers for offers but many heroines are doing the same in Telugu. Among the star heroines, 90% attained stardom because they are okay for commitments. People have their own opinion. I have the looks but I do not have offers. I will not lose heart for such a small thing and will not chose commitments or casting couch route for stardom".
