Everyone knows in Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, and VVS Lakshman is hailed a Fabulous Four. Similarly when it comes to Tollywood senior stars Mega Star Chiranjeevi, Narasimha Balakrishna, King Nagarjuna, and Victory Venkatesh are hailed as fabulous four.
For the first time after many decades, Fab four created a new record in 2019 bringing back the sweet memories to fans. After Chiranjeevi entered politics, only Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh entertained with their films. For ten years Chiranjeevi gave a break and so fab four films did not release in a single year. Only in 2019, Fab Four films released much to the delight of their fans and movie lovers.
Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa released and grossed Rs 142 crs share but the film except for Telugu failed in other languages. Balakrishna starred in three films. The biopic on his dad NTR released in two parts Kathanayakudu and Mahanayakudu and both the films turned out to be disasters getting only 19 crs, leaving the distributors in more than 50 crs losses. Balakrishna who started with the double disaster this year ended 2019 with another disaster in form of Ruler.
Nagarjuna turned Manmadhudu 2 in 2019. The film turned out to be the biggest disaster in his career. Not only critics and movie lovers, but even Akkineni fans also blasted Nagarjuna for the kind of romance at the age of 60. Venkatesh had two releases this year and unlike his contemporaries scored hits. He started off the year with a blockbuster in the form of F2 and ended the year with another hit in the form of Venky Mama.
Fab four entertaining movie lovers on screen in a single year is like a festival and movie lovers expect many such festivals in the future.
