Leggy lasso Anushka Shetty is starring in a different genre entertainer Nishabdham. The film is a Hollywood crossover film with Hemanth Madhukar being the director. Apart from Anushka, the film stars Madhavan, Srinivas Avasarala, Shalini Pandey and Anjali in important roles. The makers started their promotions well ahead of its release on Jan 31, 2020.
Kona Venkat who is producing the film along with TG Vishwa Prasad, made a startling revelation that the story of Nishabdham was not penned keeping Anushka in mind. He said the story was penned keeping in view various actresses.
He said when the makers narrated the story to Anushka she did not show interest in starring in it and told to think and get back to them. He then revealed that with Anushka not responding back, they even planned to cast another actress.
He said finally Anushka gave a green signal to the project. It is known that Anushka will be seen as a deaf and dumb girl, a mute artist Sakshi, Madhavan as a celebrity musician Antony, Anjali as Crime Detective, Seattle PD, Michael Madsen as Richard Dickens, a Seattle PD cop, Subbaraju as wildlife photographer Vivek. Shalini Pandey as Sonali will be seen as a voice of Sakshi.
