Star Director Bitten By Baahubali Bug!

Mani Ratnam Ponniyan Selvan As 2 Part Series

Right after Tollywood Jakkana Rajamouli created a sensation with his magnum opus Baahubali across the world, everyone started dreaming big. Many filmmakers across the country tried to come with even bigger projects than Baahubali and tried to break Baahubali records at the box office. However all failed in their attempts. Be it Ilayadalapathi Vijay's Puli where the makers roped in star actress Sridevi, Shankar's 2.0 with Rajini, all got severe shocks at the box office.

Bollywood makers too came with many films like Thugs of Hindostan etc but they too met with failure. Tollywood makers too targeted Baahubali with Saaho and Sye Raa, but none can give the same kind of excitement and entertainment and feel to movie lovers on screen. Even then the makers are not stopping their Baahubalian attempts.

Now many feel even star director Mani Ratnam too got bitten by Baahubali bug. It is known that he is busy with his dream project Ponniyan Selvan. The film's pre production is underway for more than a year. Buzz is Mani Ratnam is readying effects, cast, and crew on the lines of Baahubali. Apart from it, the film too will be released in two parts. The film is based on one of the Chola Kings.
