Release woes of Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya starrer Venky Mama continues with makers of the film are unable to find a perfect date. They initially thought of releasing the film for Sankranthi. But, due to heavy rush for the season with the arrival of big ticket films like Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramloo and Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru for the festival.
Their second option was Christmas. However, they are looking for other ideal date. Suresh Babu who is bankrolling Venky Mama is releasing the Telugu version of Bollywood film Dabangg 3 starring Salman Khan and the film is scheduled for X Mas release. So, Suresh Babu is forced to shift Venky Mama to other date.
Suresh Babu is in two minds whether to release Venky Mama in December second week or to postpone it to last week of January. They may announce the release date very soon as there’s huge pressure on them.
Raashi Khanna and Payal Rajput are romancing Chay and Venky respectively in the film billed to be a hilarious action entertainer with a strong message. Bobby is directing the film.
