Mega Prince Varun Tej's Valmiki, a remake of Tamil hit Jigarthanda directed by Harish Shankar is set for a grand release on September 20th. Harish Shankar made several changes in the original story and include many mass masala elements to attract B, C centers. Apart from it, while Jigarthanda had only one twist, Harish Shankar included another twist.
Now the question in everyone's mind is whether Vamilki with its mass elements and new twists will wow all movie lovers. People who love cult classics already watched the Tamil original Jigarthanda long time back.
Fans are supporting Harish Shankar for the changes saying when he scored a hit with Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh making many changes to Salman Khan's hit Dabanng, why can't he do the same with Jigarthanda.
As per the inside talk, Atharvaa falls in love with second heroine Mrunalini Ravi. However Varun Tej too falls in love with the same girl. This triangular love story is not there in the original. This change was made keeping in view Varun Tej's image rather than as per the storyline.
Suspense is also on Pooja Hegde's role. She will appear only in the flash back. It has to be seen how viewers will receive the triangular love story in Valmiki.
