Arjun Reddy Hindi remake Kabir Singh staring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani is continuing to dominate box office. The film witnessed huge growth on third day also. Despite many negatives, the film is firing all cylinders at the box office. Kabir Singh earned Rs 27.91 Cr on Sunday, taking its three days total to 70.83 cr.
The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directed film surpassed opening weekend business of Total Dhamaal (62.40 cr), thus emerging the biggest non-holiday opener of 2019. It also emerges Shahid Kapoor’s highest grosser in 3 days after Padmaavat.
Kabir Singh that received an A certificate from CBFC was released on non-holiday and during World Cup Cricket Tournament with normal ticketing price. More importantly, Bollywood critics slammed the film giving negative reviews. Kabir Singh braves all the criticism and estimations were proven wrong by a wide margin as the film emerges as a winner at box office.
As per trade pundits, Kabir Singh has good occupancy on Monday as well which is a positive sign for the film to make huge business in its first week.
